Really chuffed to get myself featured on ’From Up North’
The Exhibition I’m currently part of was featured in Design Week - very happy about that!
'Thar She Blows!' is my piece for an upcoming exhibition called 'Spectrum' - curated by Mr Gresty (www.mrgresty.com/art-projects/lhr-exhibitions)
The brief was very open but restrictive at the same time, each of the 16 chosen artists recieved a colour to feature very prominently, (the exhibition then displayed in the order of the Spectrum)
The artwork had to be 50cm x 70cm and framed in a uniform style.
But the subject matter was completely open - I therefore chose 2 of my favourite things; Pirates and typography.
I’m on unintentionally on Designspiration! Turns out 3 of my wall doodles come up in ‘murals’! (thanks to the very talented Nancy Bell for pointing it out, check her stuff out here; http://cargocollective.com/NancyBell/NANCY-BELL-Illustration-and-Design )
For the last 10 weeks, 80 iconic sculptures created by artists, using the Oscar-award-winning Aardman Animations character Gromit, have adorned the streets of Bristol in a public art trail. These sculptures are now going to auction TONIGHT! - Thursday 3rd October 2013. All funds raised will benefit Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, to support sick children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
I was lucky enough to be involved in this and you can bid and/or watch the auction live online from 7.30pm here:
Here’s the catalogue of all the amazing Gromits:
I think Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear will raise a fortune for the charity!
Get your rich friends / bosses / clients to throw some cash at a great cause and own a unique, one-of-a-kind sculpture.

The final ad (created by Brave) featuring my animated dinosaur.
Really quite happy about that - now, I wonder if I get a free TV off the back of it…
A couple of months ago, the lovely peeps over at Brave asked me to create a pokemon-style dinosaur to animate for their Panasonic Viera Integrated ad campaign - IT’S JUST GONE LIVE! http://www.brave.co.uk/2013/05/02/panasonic-smart-viera-global-campaign/
Big ole box of ‘What the Dickens’ T-shirts and vest just arrived at the studio! Will get them online for sale very soon. Thanks to Daisy & Christian at Uno One Print in Bristol for top quality once again! x
A while back, my lil Welsh chum Craig (http://adoradesign.co.uk) asked me if I’d like to do a bit of typography for a collaboration, I of course said ‘hell yeah’. He’s just posted the revised piece on his Behance page - which was then ‘featured’ and then a shed load of people have seen it. It’s ace, go check the link. Then pay us to do another piece.
